DEVILS LAKE

Devil's Lake in North Dakota is the largest natural lake in the state. Devils Lake begins to feed into Stump Lake; and at an elevation of about 1,459 feet, the combined lakes then spill into the Sheyenne River.

 


 
ALL THE WATER THAT WILL EVER BE, IS RIGHT NOW

Since 1993, Devils Lake has risen dramatically as a result of increased winter snowfall and spring runoff. Flooding of low-lying land around the lake has created serious problems for landowners and businesses in the area.
